Oxfam has been working in Nepal since the 1980s, addressing the poverty and injustice faced by women and other socially excluded groups through a variety of projects. Since. April 25. 2015 Oxfam is also responding for the Earthquake crisis in these areas: Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Sindhupalchowk. and Kathmandu. We are currently looking for dynamic team players in the following positions for our programme.
I) Partners’ Capacity Building & Finance Monitoring Coordinator - One year fixed term contract based in Kathmandu
Job Purpose: Responsible for delivering financial management related training, coaching and mentoring to OGB partners’ finance and non-finance staff, support partner for ensure full compliance to Oxfam procedures and provide at establishing a sound internal control system in Oxfam Nepal programme implementing partners. Contribute in reducing Oxfam’s financial and reputational risks through regular financial monitoring and building partner NGOs' financial management capacity.
The Role: As a Partners’ Capacity Building & Finance Monitoring Coordinator, you will require to contribute in maintaining a high level of accounting standards and procedures at Oxfam partner organizations; ensure its effectiveness. You will require to visit field regularly (at least 50% time) to monitor partners' financial performance and prepare financial monitoring reports and support partner NGOs for organisational development, financial management capacity building and strengthen corporate governance system.
You will also require conducting partner’s capacity and risking assessment (PCRA) of Oxfam GB partners and prepare reports along with improvement plans and ensure implementation of financial management best practice (e.g. practices that promote cost effectiveness) and Oxfam partnership policy at Oxfam and partners’ level.
Requirements: Professional degree in Accounting/Finance from a reputed University or equivalent qualification from a professional accounting body. Minimum 5 years of professional experience including 3 years in development sectors.

2) Field Logistics Manager (Re-advertisement)- One year fixed term contract based in Gorkha and Dhading
Job Purpose: To provide logistics support to Field areas/programmes of Oxfam in Nepal.
The Role: As a Field Logistics Manager, you will be required to organise all logistics processes, including purchasing, warehousing, communications and transport, as well as the related administrative procedures, for Oxfam operations. You will be required to liaise closely with the Administrator/Finance Officer, as well as the Project Manager and programme department, on local/international procurement by maintaining a requisition tracking system.
You will also be required to establish and maintain good contacts with suppliers, government offices. UN agencies and other NGOs with regards to logistical matters and oversee the management of procurement of items based on authorized requisitions, in line with Oxfam procedures.
Requirements: Qualifications and/or extensive experience in: purchasing, warehousing, vehicle management, administration, team support, security and communications. Minimum 5 years of experience working in humanitarian programmes in Logistics Management is required for the position.
