USAID’s five-year (2011-2016) Suaahara integrated nutrition program seeks to improve the health of pregnant and lactating women and children under two years of age in 41 districts of Nepal. Suaahara is a comprehensive community-focused program that integrates various sectors - nutrition, hygiene and sanitation, agriculture and health services promotion - in order to address the key factors affecting nutritional status. In addition, Suaahara has crosscutting themes including social and behavior change communication, gender equity and social inclusion, social mobilization and governance. It has a rigorous monitoring and evaluation system to measure the impact of the multi-sector approach employed. The implementing partners include Save the Children (SCI), Helen Keller International (HKI), Jhpiego, John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs (Jhuccp), Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG), Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH) and Nutrition Promotion Consultancy Service (NPCS).

Save the Children is an International non-profit organization working in Nepal and Bhutan to create positive and lasting change for Children, which is a prime for Suaahara. It advocates for the rights of the children and express zero tolerance to any kind of child abuse. Save the Children expects that anyone associated with it abides the child rights policy.

Suaahara invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates who are reliable, accountable and have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity and who value diversity for the following position. The position is fixed grant term as per the requirement of district and cluster offices’ operational status,which will be within the Suaahara project period ending in August 2016.

Position's Description:

Oversee USAID funded Suaahara Project, facilitate internal audit assignments, plan reviews and investigations when required. Produce high quality, value-adding audit reports for Suaahara program covering prime and other implementing partner agencies including partner NGOs, cluster and districts.
