Oxfam is responding in these areas: Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Sindhupalchowk, and Kathmandu. We are urgently looking for dynamic team players in the following positions for our response program.

1)    Field Finance Manager -
One year fixed term contract based in Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading & Sindhupalchowk.

Job Purpose: Responsible for management of significant financial resources and implementation of financial strategies, policies and procedures at the provincial level. Generate quality information to support and guide program decisions.

Responsibilities: This position will require developing a comprehensive knowledge of programs and management processes in the finance office. You will require ensuring effective, timely and accurate functioning and monitoring of the complete People Soft financial systems (GL), including maintaining the completeness and integrity of data within the system, generating necessary reports and authorizing monthly data compilation in the system. You will also be responsible for ensuring the preparation of high quality financial reports, reviewing/monitoring financial performance against budget, providing analysis/commentary on these as required by the Senior Management Team.

Requirements:
Recognized professional qualification in accounting and finance such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. Professionally qualified finance manager or coordinator, preferably with relevant experience in a large emergency and / or complex organization for at least 5 years, and the ability to influence and support colleagues in appreciating the importance of financial standards, procedures and controls.

2)    Information and Data Management Officer - One year fixed term contract based in Kathmandu

Job Purpose: Manage the various information flow for the earthquake response so as to provide effective, efficient and timely information management support to the earthquake response program.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for assisting in the development of, and ensuring the implementation of Oxfam’s information flows within the Earthquake Response Program, as well as with the other Oxfam Nepal programs. You will require implementing updates and maintenance of databases in coordination with the information and knowledge manager.

Requirements: BBIS/BCIS or Bachelors’ degree in relevant field. Knowledge of Database (Advance Access/Excel) with relevant experience.

3)    Finance Officer - Six months extendable fixed term contract based in Kathmandu

Job Purpose: To work closely with Response Program Coordinator (Kathmandu Valley) on day-to-day management of financial matters of Oxfam Kathmandu Valley Response Program, and to ensure that Kathmandu Valley Response Program maintains a high standard of budget, accounting and financial controls.

Responsibilities: This position will require ensuring that financial transactions are accompanied by appropriate and relevant supporting documentation dually signed and authorized by relevant Program Manager / budget holder. You will be responsible for compiling and preparing all donor financial reports as required by ensuring that they are accurate and of high quality and meet donor requirements. You will be providing financial management support to partner organizations through capacity building using participatory approaches, development of effective operational finance systems and procedures in coordination with Emergency Response Partners’ Finance Capacity Builder.

Requirements:
Recognized professional qualification in accounting and finance such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge and a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in core financial management activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

4)    District Program Manager - One year fixed term contract based in Gorkha and Dhading

Job Purpose: To strengthen Oxfam's response to humanitarian emergencies through support to program and program support staff of the District Response Project and to represent Oxfam GB’s program in the emergency program areas.

Responsibilities:
This position will require making continues assessments of emergency situations, strategy development, reporting with recommendations and proposals for Oxfam's response, linking relief with early recovery, reconstruction and development. You will require ensuring the One Program Approach, actively linking humanitarian, development and influencing parts of the program and ensuring gender and protection to be mainstreamed throughout the project implementation. You will also require to develop and monitor project objectives and implementation; plan (HR, Procurement, Budget); ensure monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning; liaising and coordination / collaboration with government officials, UN agencies and other NGO staff as appropriate.

Requirements: Masters’ degree in humanitarian and development sector or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience of emergency and development work, and an understanding of relevant issues.
