Care Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 37 years. It currently works in 44 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls' leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. Core priorities include investment in the empowerment and leadership of women and girls, reaching hard to reach population, good governance and accountability, working in partnership and alliance with like minded actors, and evidence based advocacy.
CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time positions based in Butwal for CARE Nepal's project on Empowering Adolescent Girls in Nepal for a period of 5 years.
1. Team Leader:
- Key responsibilities: The Team Leader will have the overall responsibility for leading program team and supporting partners. He/She will be responsible for providing technical guidance coordinating and managing project. The job requires providing strategic support and guidance to the project team and partner staff in the areas of social mobilization, evidence based advocacy and organizational strengthening, learning, and fostering linkages at the local, national and global level.
- Preferred Qualification and Experience: Master's Degree in education, social sciences or gender studies with a minimum three years relevant field experience in project management. The incumbent must have at least two years and above direct experience working with girls and or women and coordinating with social service agencies.
2. Advocacy Officer:
- Key Responsibility: The Advocacy Officer will be responsible in leading program advocacy initiatives on specific advocacy priorities in consultation with the team. S/he will work closely with program team and CARE Nepal advocates to support the development of program advocacy strategies and activities on priority issues. Strengthen the project's internal and external communications, support staff and partners in developing project related communication and advocacy plan and manage tha publication of important promotional materials related to Women and Girls Empowerment.
- Preferred Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in education, social studies or mass communication with a minimum three years experience in relevant field of work, e.g. communication, journalism, information management, public relations, media, advocacy.
3. Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer:
- Key Responsibilities: The MEL Officer will lead the project team in developing monitoring and learning plan, project's regular monitoring, develop a distinct link between project activities, outputs, outcomes and impact, and document the process and progress to generate learning.
- Preferred Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in education or Social Studies or a relevant subject with at least three years experience in tracking change, M&E and documenting learning, capacity building and /or program alalysis.
