Vacancies in JuRi Nepal

Justice and Rights Institute Nepal (JuRI-Nepal) is implementing a two and half year Promoting Human Dignity Project (PHDP) in partnership with IM Swedish Development Partner. The major components of the project contain review of economic, social and cultural rights (ESCR) related laws and policies; policy dialogues and rights/evidence-based advocacy; capacity enhancement of CSOs and local partners of IM; and constructive engagement with the duty-bearers toward the realization of ESCR of marginalized people, including women and girts. JuRI-Nepal invites applications for the following position under the project.

Position: Project Coordinator

Location: Kathmandu with frequent field visits

Duration: Till December. 2018

Main duties and responsibilities: Lead the effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the PHDP under the guidance of the Executive Director of JuRI-Nepal. S/he will enhance the capacity of CSOs. local partners of IM and other stakeholders; monitor and document the cases on ESCR. SGBV and discrimination in close coordination with the local partners of IM; promote ESCR dialogues; and coordinate evidence-based advocacy at all levels.


Qualifications and experience: Masters Degree in human rights, law, sociology, development study or any other relevant subject with minimum five years working experience in human rights and development sector with particular focus on livelihood, girls' education, SGBV and project management. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Nepali.
