ORGUT Consulting serves as Management Contractor of the five year DANIDA funded UNNATI programme, operating in the seven hill districts in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal (Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Terhathum, Sankhuwasabha, Ham, Panchthar, Taplejung). The programme aims to develop selected agricultural commodity value chains (orthodox tea, ginger, cardamom and dairy) using a market-based inclusive growth approach, complemented with district and farm-to-market road construction, access to finance, and an improved agricultural/agri-business environment. The Management Contractor is responsible for the value chain and the infrastructure development in the seven districts covered by UNNATI. ORGUT is now looking for candidates to fill the following vacancies:
■ Agribusiness Specialist
■ Infrastructure Specialist
■ Senior Quality Control and Monitoring Specialist (Infrastructure)
■ Transportation Engineer
■ Financial Management Specialist (FMS)
General requirements:
• All candidates should have a minimum of a Masters Degree in a field related to the function and at least five or ten years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience of working with local government in donor funded projects, preferably in the Eastern Development Region will be a great advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of one or more of the above mentioned commodities and their value chain actors are an important requisite for the candidates for the Agribusiness Specialist position.
• Infrastructure related jobs must have experience in district road construction and Govt procurement rules
• FMS must have sound knowledge of national financial and procurements rules
• Excellent command of the English language is a must for all positions.
