Vacancy in Handicap International.


Handicap International (HI) is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster in Nepal and invites applications from qualified Nepali candidate for the following emergency response positions:

1. Operation Coordinator - 1 position based in Kathmandu - HI/PRO/018:
 Under the direct responsibility of the Head of Mission and in close cooperation with the coordination team and the program managers, Operation Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the program activities.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop strategies and methodologies of intervention that would match with context issues.
    • Ensure relevancy and quality of the project implemented, cross cutting between projects and thematic developed in the field.
    • Ensure centralization of projects methodologies and tools.
    • Ensure information sharing to/from external coordination for as far as HI intervention sectors are concerned.
  • Requirements:
    • Master's degree in humanitarian field, project management, politics or related field.
    • Four years of experience in management in humanitarian or development area, preferably two years of senior level experience in emergency and post emergency context.
    • Experience of HI emergency division operations is an asset.
    • Proven managerial and representation experience with team management.
    • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent competency of written and spoken English and Nepali.
2. Administrative Coordinator - 1 position based in Kathmandu - HI/SUP/012 
Under the direct responsibility and support of the Head of Mission, Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the representation, Administrative management, Human Resource Management.
  • Key Responsibility:   
    • Ensure the application of all administrative, financial and budgetary procedures on the project.
    • Implement administrative and monitoring tools, the reporting and the administrative capitalization.
    • Supervise financial operations and appropriate execution, validate spending commitments and mission's purchase forecasts.
    • Ensure budgetary monitoring of projects and prepare financial documents for donors.
    • Ensure the development of an HR policy and tools, in accordance with HI internal procedures and the legal framework of the country, with approval of the HR and Finance department in Headquarter.
  • Requirements:
    • Master's degree in finance, Accounting and Human Resource or related field.
    • Four years of experience in humanitarian or development context and two years of experience as Administration Coordinator.
    • Proven managerial and representation experience with team management.
    • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent Competency of written and spoken English and Nepali.
3. Logistics Coordinator -1 position based in Kathmandu - HI/ERD/SUP/013

4.  Platform Project Manager - 2 positions based in Nuwakot and Dhading - HI/ERD/PROG/019

5. Reporting and Communication Officer - 1 position based in Kathmandu - HI/ERD/SUP/014

6.  Project Officer Shelter - 1 position based in Nuwakot - HI/ERD/PROG/020

Conditions, Salary and Benifits:
  • Attractive salary and benifits package.
  • Duration of contract for all positions may range from one to four months with possibility of extension.
