Vacancy for Associate Project Analyst.

The ADB-Nepal Resident Mission (NRM) was established to assist its Headquarters in the implementation of projects and programs, in project processing, country programming, and economic and sector work. It also coordinates ADB’s activities with other resident diplomatic and donor missions, NGOs, academic institutions, local think tanks, private sector and other members of the civil society.

Position: Associate Project Analyst

Description of Responsibilities
To provide analytical, statistical, and administrative support to the Portfolio Management Unit (PMU).
Reporting Arrangement
Supervisor: Designated International Staff and senior National Staff
Selection Criteria
Specific criteria include
■    Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
■    Bachelor’s degree  in  Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance
■    At least    5 years    of    experience    in project
administration including procurement, contract administration, and progress management. Practical experience in infrastructure (energy, transport, and urban) projects is an advantage. Associated knowledge and experience in financial control, and related experience in international agencies are preferred.
■    Good verbal and writing communication skills in English Language.
■    Proven ability to undertake background research and analysis on well-defined tasks, collect and organize required data and information, apply appropriate computer skills in analyzing

        Able to manage priorities and workload within general schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices
        Good oral and written communication skills in English
        Able to liaise and work effectively with staff within own work location
        Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member
        Able to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds; good interpersonal and communication skills
        Able to maintain composure under pressure

The advertised position is a local staff position with a local remuneration package. It is open only to persons who are nationals and residents of Nepal.
